Hi, i came across two pieces of glass i am told is Holmegaard but i am not so sure :-\ the first is a glass hippo money box, it came from a dealer who said it was part of a house clearance of a man who collected Scandinavian glass, the second is a vase with a seal i have never seen before.
Although i love glass we get very little vintage Scandinavian up here in the North East
[Mod: Spelling of "Holmegaard" corrected in title]

now the seal, sorry about all the replies but you used to be able to post about four photo's

Hi Sue, not sure about the hippo, but the vase is Reijmyre, here's one with a label.
-
Hi Wayne, thanks for the swift reply and ID, what do the initials on the seal mean?
-
Hi Sue, it looks very similar to the more common pig moneybox (apparently designed in the 40s) that was produced by Kastrup. What we need is Peter Harder who hopefully has more data than when I had him verify the pig - he has since had access to their archives.

I've also had a boxed Reijmyre goblet in the same pattern, which has some info on the box about the monogram/seal, see attached pic.

Hi, thanks everyone for all your help, very interesting label Wayne, maybe it should be saved in the glass gallery ? or somewhere.
-
:) Sue, the "more attachments" link you click on to add 4 pics to each post has shifted - it's under the box now, not beside it.
It took me about a week to find it. :-[

OH??? i didn't even see that ::) just go's to show how old i am getting, my brain and eye's don't engage at the same time anymore
Thank you :-*

just to add to the hippo mystery, I have one of these in clear, which when I bought it I thought to be kastrup as very similar to the piggy.
But mine has no money slot, it has an indentation where the hole should be but no hole.
Otherwise the same shape as the on in this thread
