It definitely looks like Murano glass to me - Probably by Fratelli Toso.

I think it's just a dish. As to date, it's really hard with many of these touristy pieces. People bought them and they just carried on making them for years and years. 1960/70s onward is probably as good as you are going to get - that's only nearly 50 years of package holidays to choose from

I agree with Shannon that the bowl looks most like Fratelli Toso. The bottom ribbing looks like it could be one of their opalino pieces. I can't see a lot of the detail in the pictures, but it looks like something they would do. I attached a picture of the bottom of one of their rose opalino bowls so you can compare, Gilead.

It looks just the same on the base as that very milky colour, would these have been made in other colours as well, if so how many, from your picture and mine it seems  to be a Fratelli Toso then would'nt mind finding some more like this,

I suggest soapdish for the bathroom rather than a videpoche for the hallway  :ac1:

Gilead, FT does opalino in several colors. Blue is one of the favorites. I read the comment about keys. Definitely not! Keys or other hard things scratch the glass over time and ruin a bowl. Ivo's idea of soap seems better... but would it discolor the glass over time? Maybe better is to put it in a display cabinet or on a shelf :-)

Other companies, e.g. Seguso, did opalino. Your rim looks more like FT to me.
