Two piece mould, rather course - any suggestions?

I have seen this on a website recently, can't remember where will have a look.

It looks fabulous to me, a real art piece with the ridges looking as if they are hand carved into stone or wood.

There was something similar high art wise at the 'Arte Povera' exhibition I saw at Tate modern a few years ago.
