Glass / Chunky blue sommerso solifleur vase - maker?
« Last post by chilternhills on Today at 01:57:56 PM »Can anyone help me identify this vase, please? It's elliptical in cross section, and measures 15 cm wide, 13 cm high, and about 7 cm thick. It's unusual that the base is ground flat and open. The top has a large bubble with a small orifice. In other words, there is a cavity in the base and another opening at the top.
I can't find anything quite like this online. It's similar to Kosta Boda in some respects, but I don't know. There are no identifying marks on the piece.
Any suggestions as to identity is appreciated.

regarding the signature i did think this might be a possibility after having no luck at all on the net.
Not knowing anything about Bohemian glass,could this be older than the date on it.

Glass Paperweights / Sinclair Johnson 1890 paperweight

The design has been engraved on the bottom with the name & date on the top.
The six facets are concaved rather than ground flat.
I am struggling to find anything on the name at all.

The multiple subtly clashing colours, the swag decor and the application of clear glass features all fit.
