Title: Is this bird by Seguso??
Post by: rosieposie on January 30, 2011, 04:25:39 PM
Hi, I have a lovely bird, very similar to Chriscooper's, can anyone tell me if it is Seguso please.....Anita??

It is about 4.5 inches long, and appears to be Sommerso technique as it is red and orange.

Thank you in advance for any help given. :kissy:

Hi there:  :hi:

I am thinking that your bird *might* be Fratelli Toso, as I did find one like this with a label. The tail and beak look the same, IMHO.  But see if someone else can confirm that --- I will see if I can find that other bird here on the Net again -- and I think I had scribbled down the measurements of it ---------- as I look through all my paper jot notes here.

Found the measurements here on a the paper -- about 6 inches long from tail to beak....maybe they made smaller ones too ?????? or all sizes (eg for different price ranges back then too )

See if I can find the pic of it with a FT label on it  :X:  :X:

Thank you Rose,  I would be just as happy with a FT provenance. I have re-measured the bird and it is nearer 6", so may well be as you say.. :X:
