I have been very fortunate to inherit a wonderful collection of early paperweights originally collected by my great grandfather pre WW2. Most of them I have been able to ID with the help of books and internet searchs, but there are a few that have stumped me and I'm hoping you good people could help out. Here's the 1st; I thought it was English as the glass seems to have a slight green hue, which I had not seen on the French weights, but after pouring through Robert Hall's book - I'm not so sure. It measures 3 1/2" wide 2 1/2" high - ignore the sticker; that was put on a long time ago and all records lost. Many thanks for your help.

I don't think it is English - nothing like any of the 100+ I have owned. I agree it is most likely Murano.

Thanks for the observations and Happy New Year. Disappointing ID, but I had my suspicions. So did Murano have a significant export market to the UK in the early part of the 20thC?
