this little chap was sold to me as Mdina,
is it, i have my doubts,
its well made, lovely movement in the colours, i can see the formation of the colours is in the same veign as Mdina.
its only 7cm wide & 6cm high.
i used some talcom powder to help emphasise the signature.
The second word looks like Malta, but i don't recognise the 1st word at all.
Mdina, Mtarfa or,: any ideas ?

Agreed, I have one too, with maker's mark and label. Very competent and nice piece. Come in a few differing colourways.

does anyone recognise the sinature ?
-
sorry just a pretty standard 'phoenician malta' signiature although they do change quite dramatically from one to the next im not sure that its documented who's signiatures are who's if you know what i mean. without an actual name signiature i think its gonna be pretty difficult to work out who signed this
