4 inches high, polished pontil mark with green 'streaks' in the tadpoles, anyone care to hazard a guess? ;D ;D

Hi
Kralik glass produced a tadpole decor and they also produced iridescent glass, though the only tadpole applied decorations that I've ever seen have been of one single colour, iridescent green or clear green and not striped (though I could be wrong). You can see examples of Kralik tadpole decor in www.kralik-glass.com. Have you looked at Harrach glass or other bohemian glass makers?
:D

I have one very similar to this (although yours looks shorter/squatter) with amber trails and peacock eyes. I'm pretty sure they are the same maker - I thought they were probably Kralik. I noticed one like yours sold at Fieldings recently I think? but I don't know what they gave as attribution, I can't remember.

I think this has the same tadpoles on it...I'm a little unsure as to why it is attributed as Stourbridge. I suppose it could be :-\

In www.kralik-glass.com under Kralik visual decor list on left, open n-z index and tadpoles glass examples are there if you open the tadpoles pics :) That's one of the best Kralik online data bases in my opinion :D
-
Thanks m,saved me the trouble ;D I doubt it's Stourbridge in fact the clear glass reminds more of Walsh but ??? ;D ;D
chriss; did look there,in fact there are a few of my pieces on the site,if you didn't know it was one of the GMB members (Craig) who set it up ;D ;D
-
mmm it doesn't look quite the same as Walsh though does it? I have compared to mine and it's just not quite right. Kralik were also fond of this faint ribbed and twisted effect I think and they did many of their pieces in 'verre de soie' especially the ones with applied flowers leaves etc. as far as I can find.

I agree the clear part does look like Kralik, maybe I'll email Craig if he doesn't pop in and see what he thinks. ;D

In some ways reminiscent of Kralik work, and in other ways not..... Although I would lean towards Bohemian on the piece, I would not rule out the possibility that it is English..... The tadpoles specifically do not remind me of Kralik with the coloration.....
Very interesting piece... I really like the tadpoles on this one....
Sorry I am not of more help.....

Thanks Craig,how's the Harley? ;D ;D

Harley got new saddlebags and is as loud and fast as ever.... ;D

Keith — I've seen not too dissimilar green stripes on a definite Walsh epergne. Any chance of bringing it to Cambridge?

and this

no idea if the attribution is correct though, but thought I'd add for the shapes.
I don't suppose these could be by Poschinger could they? just musing.

Thanks m,I'd be surprised if it was PK,will have to do more research, thanks for looking ;D ;D

I would not have thought Pallme Koenig as my first thought, but I did wonder about Poschinger?
