Title: Blue & Green tall vase for id
Post by: yesvil on October 16, 2012, 02:36:17 PM
Found this one today and recognised it had a good feel and quality about it. The glass is very opaque and (to me) appears to have a white inner layer between clear and an inside blue. It looks very much the same colours as the Caithness one in another thread but reversed - this one has no signature anywhere.  The base has wear a fair bit of wear, so I don't think it's that new and stands 193mm tall.

I will add another picture to this one showing the graduated colouring better.

Are you sure it's only about 7.5" tall? It looks a lot bigger!
It is reminding me a bit of a vase I have by "Innovate" - a more recent Dartington "Studio" than "Dartington Studio".
But my vase is pretty big - 13.5 " tall.

I saw one of these somewhere in Scotland last week. It was larger though

There's a (poor) image of my vase here - it's called "Lime". (I got it cheaply in TKMaxx, purely for the label and it being Dartington, according to the box it came in. I suspect "his lordship" may have binned my box. He tends to leap upon boxes, tear them up and bin them before I can hoard them. But they are a pain and do take up a lot of space.
It's the same shape as your vase, the decor is quite different, I reckon your bit looks better made too, but the base finish isn't too dis-similar..

I don't think yours is Caithness - wrong finish on the base, completely.

The size is correct it's just a couple of dashes over 7.5" (however that's expressed in imperial?) Thanks for your suggestion.

I think I can rule out Innovate, then. Your vase looks to be far better made.
