I Got this piece which I think may be Murano but I am not a Murano collector so am unsure. It is 31cms tall, which is just over 12". The top id what I think is fire polished. The top has not been cut off level but is slightly lower one one side than the other. Green cased in orange gold and then clear on top of that. The botton is flat and polished.

Certainly looks Italian to me. If it was on eBay I expect it would be attributed to Flavio Poli, but Javier might be able to confirm or correct that. :D Fabulous size btw!

Hi Pat,
Personaly I dont think I can venture to say this is that old, or by Poli.
I have almost given up on all these Sommerso pieces, since so many of them are being reproduced, in all colors and all styles.
Maybe someone else who has owned similar pieces can put their 2 cents in.
Sorry Im not much help on this one.
One thing, the top rim folded inward is a bit weird. The ones I have seen in the bud vase shape have a flat top.

I thought the top was a bit odd too, but I didn't know enough to comment on it. This style is doing rather well on eBay at the moment though Pat - although saying that is no guarantee! :D

Well that's why I put a pic of the top. It did not quite look 'good enough' for want of a better description, to me to be by someone well known-but what do I know. However still a lovely looking pice of glass for the price. Thanks for all your help.
