Hi Chloe, it's Hofbauer "Byrdes", and the middle thing is a small posy vase - I have one as well - around 3" tall? See http://www.replacements.com/webquote/HFCBYR.htm for the range.

Aha - thank you - I was searching for dressing table sets which is why I couldnt get it. Yes the 'thing' is 3" tall. For super tiny posy I giess!!
Hmm, guess it is more cute than super valuable.

There are aficionados of these pieces Chloe, not wildly high value, but marketable to collectors - searching eBay with give you an idea of prices - search for Birds as well as Byrds and Byrdes as you'll find them listed under all sorts of odd spellings. They are sometimes seen sold as a dressing table set made of individual pieces, I don't yet know if they were ever marketed by Hofbauer as a complete set.
