Title: Caithness Vase - Barrel with Mottled Colour
Post by: adam20 on September 20, 2011, 11:37:45 AM
Caithness Vase (I think) 10" high in clear glass with amber and yellow mottled stripe down one side - similar shown page 32 Mark Hill's book, but that is 8" high and a different colour - this has a thick rim 6mm - It is abarrel vase but not re plain ones I have.

Any ideas

Thanks - Adam

Caithness, no doubt at all.

I think these are shown on P 123 of Mark's book in the catalogue - Images range from 2001.
I have one the same colour with a harvest mouse climbing a wheat stalk (or some sort of cereal anyway) which is etched on one side with the coloured swathe showing behind it on the other side of the vase - it is quite effective and rather nice.
