Does anyone recognise this Trinket Tray please? It measures approx 31.5cm x 21.5cm and the base rim is very smooth and shiny like the rest of the tray.
-
Inwald is always a good contender if the ground bits have a high polish
-
Thank-you Christine.
-
That's a cracking' colour too Jayne. Not a pattern I've found in a catalogue as yet though.
-
I'm still looking for this tray maker, just spotted the same tray in a green set on this listing, (I have seen it before with the same pots and sticks in pink), I wonder if seeing the pots and sticks will jog anyones memory?

In a word, no, it doesn't help, Jayne, ;D cos I've not seen them in a catalogue either yet... good to see the rest of the pieces though, we'll keep searching! 8)

Okay, thanks Anne. :)
-
Looking at this again, the colour is very like my Jacobean water jug which has the characteristic polished base of Inwald production too... http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,21146.0.html
-
It does indeed look like a good colour match Anne. Where can I start searching for details of Inwald items?
-
PK might be a good start Jayne: http://www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de/ :)

I am posting photos of the green set from the eBay link above in case it eventually becomes redundant.

I have just purchased a turquoise version of mystery set #98...I note the pot and pin dish resemble Davidson trinket set number 3... although the tray and candlesticks are very different. Could it be a later version ??
-
Hi Simba, I asked about the tray for that set in 2012 here;

Thanks for merging Anne, yes you are welcome to add my pics to the GTS Mysteries album.
Hi Simba, thanks for adding your full turquoise set, it's super!
I also have a green set, I'm adding additional pics here for the record and use on GTS Anne.

Greetings from Australia!
I'm having trouble identifying the maker of this part trinket set and am hoping some kind member may be able to assist. I have been searching for some time without success.
Many thanks,
Barry

The pots are very similar pattern to Davidson number three trinket set #2506
-
That's a nice dusky pink.
Here is another thread about this set.

The pots are very similar pattern to Davidson number three trinket set #2506
The pots appear to be very similar (but it's a very poor image in the catalogue photocopy I have) but it looks like the finials on the Davidson Chippendale no. 3 set are a different shape to the finials on these lids. The Set 3 lid finials appear to be round and pointed, whereas these appear to be flat and patterned?

This trinket pot is by Davidson but I can't recall the pattern number
Just found the turquoise Davidson pot in my Chippendale catalogue pattern 2507 ....

The finials are certainly different, but after finally unpacking most of my glass since moving, I'm off to the garage to see if I can find these 2 pots for comparison. :)

Well unfortunately the lidded trinket pots I have are slightly different to Davidson Chippendale 2507 pots, they are possibly Jules Lang but that's another story.
However, I do have an unlidded Davidson Chippendale 2507 so here are the comparison photos. The pot bases are almost identical but the Mystery Set 98 green lid doesn't quite fit properly on the clear Davidson pot, it's very very slightly too big. Still the glass feels identical in quality etc. I think Davidson could be a candidate for this set.
