Here are 2 paperweights I just bought. Whitefriars 1979 Partridge in a Pear Tree and Whitefriars 1980 Bells Christmas Paperweights.
Both in mint condition with original box and certificates, $440 and $430 respectively. I think I did good..

Two excellent desirable weights , well done .jp

about right for the partridge, very good value for the bell - which is much rarer than the partridge as 1980 was when Whitefriars closed and so not that many christmas weights were made that year.

I just love the detail in the Patridge in a pear tree one.. I don't know how many canes are there but it is just beautiful.
Does anyone know exactly how many of them were made of 1979 and 1980 one??? I know they intended to make 1000 of each but I think it is around 200-300 of each???

Hi ------According to my info 593 for the Partridge and 258 for the Bell There are 9469 Individual pieces of glass in the Partridge weight I know because I counted them!!!--------Roy

I wish I could have the one without the partridge but I think My husband will be a little mad if I talk about another paperweight.. :)

Hi John,
if you will pardon the expression, mines miniature size !! Only after a full size model !!
Cheers,

I believe its between full and miniature , nearer to full and unfaceted . Ray is out this evening so will check tomorrow .
