Hi,
This is a lovely little faceted millefiori w8.
2" across the bottom, 1-1/4" tall.
The faceting, to my eye, reminds me of the faceting you would find on a piece of shchoenbeck crystal, more than the faceting style I'm used to on a paperweight. The edges are very crisp, and it comes to a "point" at the top.
The murine are delightfully crisp and clean, not to mention tiny.
The bottom has a soft velvet pad, that I would prefer not to remove. However you can see that the sides are not "straight across flush" to the bottom, they step/slope in just a tad before hitting the bottom.
Here I am "feeling" again, but it doesn't feel like Italian, yet feels a bit different from Scottish.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Bob
BTW, since I keep forgetting to acknowledge the Glass Message Board when I've gotten advice, in my eBay listings, I've simply made the "Thank You To . . ." part of the boiler plate on all Scottish and Italian glass listings. It's easier that way, lol.

From the angle of your photos it doesn't look like there are canes at all, it looks like a thin printed card stuck to the bottom of the glass, which I have actually seen before, is this the case here?

I got burned by one of these a while back. If you remove the felt you'll find that this a combination of two pieces. The upper clear faceted piece has a hollow concavity on the base where a flat millefiori disk about 2mm thick is inserted. The millefiori disk is similar to what you find in jewelry similar to the pendants made by Antica Murano.

Yes,
Les, while you were responding, I was doing just that. And that's exactly how I would describe it, it's a pendant, inside a "cheap" "crystal". The "crystal" doesn't refract light, so it's glass, not crystal.
The pendant portion, is very nice, but worth in the $20's, not $41 that I paid.
Oh well, buying and selling between 100 and 150 pieces monthly, I'm certainly not going to hit a winner every time.
Thankfully, I find my share of Eickholt eggs for $10 that I can sell for $100, or a Charles Lotton, I got for $7.50 (as part of a "lot"), that should sell for $100 - $200.
I guess I can afford to miss on this one, lol.
Thank you both for the replies, and here is a set of "breakdown" photos for other's edification.
