Hi All - In Australia we don't get a lot of people pieces maybe we prefer animals (no comments please). I am normally not a fan of pieces like this because they seem too prissy and fussy but this one caught my eye due to the subject and the execution. I won't buy it but I wondered who made it and if anyone had seen something like this before.
My first thought on a glimpse was that it was Chinese due to colour of dress but on closer looking it seems far too well made.

Chinese or Eastern Europe. That amber and black effect over white is turning up in modern animals.

Thanks a lot Christine. So my first instinct wasn't so far off.
I really must get myself back into gear, I seem to be losing my Mojo!

Chinese, I think. These spots are often seen on the Chinese animals.

My first thought when looking at the base of the lady in question was it was not worthy of the true Murano artist so I, too, believe her origins to be elsewhere.
