Title: Isle of Wight Paperweight
Post by: adam20 on September 20, 2012, 04:04:38 PM
Isle of Wight paperweight with gold iridescence on dark ground, has remains of a modern label to base - can't seem to find range name although I have had these before and know it is not uncommen.

I can't make out the colour, or if there's a foil background at the bottom or not.
If there is no foil at the base, then I'm pertty sure it's Summer Fruits.
What berry will depend on the colour. :)

Not really helping too much colourwise, I'm afraid, but it is Summer Fruits.
What colour does it look to you?

It's a deep blue almost violet core.

Mulberry, then.
Summer Fruits was introduced in '93, Michael Harris died in '94, throwing the studio into turmoil for a year or so, with no new designs coming out, or Summer Fruits made. In '95 the range was reintroduced, a couple of unpopular colourways were stopped (honeyberry and goldberry) and a deep purple (blackberry) and a deep blue (Mulberry) were added. Blueberry is pale blue.
