It's ringing distant bells for me - but clearly not loudly enough.
A very heavy angular vase comprising a transparent amber core with fine opaque orange and yellow speckles covering the entire external surface, thickly cased in a faintly green-tinted clear glass. Smoothly ground matt base with little obvious wear.
11cm tall, 18cm wide, and a sturdy 2.1kg in weight - which allays any modern Chinese fears I may have about the ground base.

Iwata Glass, Tokyo, maybe?

Similar shape and weight, but the base treatments are different and the Japanese vase seems to have a much more complex design.
Still, it's an avenue to explore - thanks. :)
