Gentle tip  ;) search Clayton Mayers on this board, not the search box at top but the search here http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?action=search as the top one is topic only.

Your description of your Jacobean glasses is a bit off beam.

To the contrary , the description for the glasses here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-Seven-Art-Deco-Jacobean-Shot-Glasses-London-made-1923-/150912468865?pt=UK_Art_Glass&hash=item2323158781 is taken directly from the registration number details which are published online , the thread on here relating to Jacobean seems somewhat confused to say the least so unless there is some solid evidence otherwise the listing i have has been made in good faith.

thank you

Yes there is a lot to read on this glass range on the GMB. So a brief basic summary to help you find your way through it all.

  • Range introduced as Lord designed by Rudolf Schrötter for Inwald (Rudoldova Hut) around 1920.
  • Produced until early 2000s.
  • Clayton Mayers were factors/importers and registered designs.
  • Rebranded for UK market as Jacobean.
  • Inwald also licensed production to Davidson in Tyneside.
