Hi Carol,
Norman made lots of these vases in different colourways and I always knew them as 'Big Waves'

Hi I am Norman's son. This is an unusual variation of a design he called Golden Seascape. I hope this helps after all this time :)

oh dear, I should have asked this before!
I'm confused over the name of a fabby piece I have, Yvan!

I've seen an iridescent vase described as being a "Jackson Pollock" in a book, but....
I have this piece, which I have always called my Norman Stuart-Clarke "Jackson Pollock" - on the grounds that it looks just like a JP painting!

Can you tell me if the book was wrong or if it's me?

Thank-you so much, Yvan!
I had an unfortunate "incident" with Chartreuse as a teenager - and have avoided it, or anything to do with it, like the plague ever since.
I might have to change that a little - I really love this bottle!

Hello - I am doing some research into a recent purchase and after finding a v similar piece on eBay listed as NS Clarke I hunted down this trail on the message board and hey presto - I see this photo which, though a different shape, is certainly the same pattern as mine.  Sue - is yours signed?  I'm afraid that mine isn't and I'm not sure what that means?!  It seems in perfect condition and not a 2nd..  Also, I've seen another listing from the US which states the vase was bought in Liberty's - did NSC sell in Liberty's?

Thanks All!

Mine is signed, yes. (I had to go and check).
I wouldn't worry too much about it - I am positive your vase is right.

As always, thank you Sue.

Mmmm, could it be that our collections look quite similar!!  Lovely to have found so many like-minded people out there... I wish I'd found this site years ago.

I hope Yvan is still in the loop with this thread, and hope that he or someone else can tell of a series name to this beautiful vase, please.
