Title: Huge Eva Englund, just showing off!
Post by: Bonsaismurf on September 29, 2011, 04:03:13 PM
Heya!

I "found" this huge Eva Englund vase the other day that is pretty rare so I just wanted to show it. Not really my area of interest but still...It's from her years at Pukeberg where she designed this in the middle of the 60's. This one is signed "Eva Englund -66" at it's about 41 cm tall.

Best Regards
Emil

Thank-you - I like it very, very much.... swirly inclusions, bubbly bits and partially-cased for extra added interest!

It is pretty massive, but the glass is pretty thin so one can easily lift it with one hand. I forgot to mention that the vase is called "Eldlek" (Fireplay) and it comes in at least 3 different sizes and this is as big as they get.

Best Regards

They are very cheap actually. It's the "wrong" glassworks and "wrong" time, Englund doesn't get pricey until she starts with the graals. I'd say my piece would be about €110 at an auction in Sweden.
