Picked these up a few weeks ago. Actually have four of them. 3 inches in height.
Three footed, seem to be slightly opalescent with what looks like a gargoyles on the side and floral features.
Not sure what they were intended for. I thought eggcups at first then toothpick holders but I really am not sure.
So I would love to know what they were for and who made them.
Thanks in advance.

regret no idea, and nothing like them in my book on milk glass.....................but, how about... posy vases - open salts - small containers for sauce.

I cannot clearly make out the detail in the pics, but wonder if its not a goat's head? If it is I know PV made a goat's head design & Ivo posted info regarding a goat's head design by St. Louis in the 1870s awhile back so if it is a goat's head design you might try these possibilities. Ken

And a goats head design of a goblet from Saint-Louis was copied much more recently by a Portuguese company. I have one in blue. But I wasn't sure your glass was the same?
I'll try and find a link on here for you to compare.

Actually it was IVIMA who made my goblet and PK did an article on it.
But I thought the glass on mine was different to yours so didn't really draw a comparison. But maybe it's an avenue to explore?

Hi, thanks it is definitely not a goats head. Hard to get a picture that capures the detail as it is not that well defined in the firat place.
Either a goblin or a gargoyle. The ears give that away.
Thanks for the pointers though I will do some more digging.
