A deep ashtray in clear with a pink inner, the clear glass has pulled out ridges to the sides. Measures 9cm tall. Plenty of use scratches to the base.
-
Are there any Chribska catalogues online anywhere? It shows more than a passing similarity. The clear external ridges move from right to left by the way.
Edit - Just found the thread with a link that jindrich posted regarding them,I will have a good look through the images.

???
If I were to guess :-\ -- I think I would say Chribska, too, IMHO
-
Thanks Rose. I too am definitely leaning that way. I looked through the Jindrich link page but could not see anything exactly the same but assume there were others at other times.
-
Just a question -- is it picking up the Brown from what it is sitting on -- or does the glass have some different colors in it?
Would you be able to do a photo on a White piece of paper?
Thanks -- hope it is no bother :spls:

It was picking up the colour from the shelf, here is a quick snapshot on white as per polite request ;-)

Looks like Chribska to me. Some of their ashtrays were in bright, very bright, colours.

These come in loads of different colours, and are quite often misdescribed as Whitefriars knobbly bowls. They are quite different though having cigarette indents on the rim and a more flowing style of "knobble".
I have a dark blue one on my Wannabee blog.
-
I'd say Chribska too, looks like the yellow bowl shown here: [link (http://picasaweb.google.com/Jindra8526/CHRIBSkA1999?authkey=Gv1sRgCKjbrouFiseK2gE#5435063713732297810)]

Thanks all. It is a lovely piece, well made and my first Chribska (unless informed otherwise :)).

Amazingly I have examples of all of the items on that link! Mine are all in pink, and I had no idea at all until now who they were by. I've got a very large collection of pink glass, and I'd guessed that most of it was by the same designer. Now I have Chribska as a name, I can research some more :girlcheer:
