Title: Swedish glass, bit of something you wouldn't want on your shoe...
Post by: chopin-liszt on May 02, 2010, 01:11:55 PM
Hiya!

I posted images of this paperweight years ago, nobody knew what it was then, but I'm wondering if it might just be Konstglas Ronneby?

It's not the best quality metal - it's slightly yellowy-green, it has bubbles which shouldn't be there, and the surface has tool marks and irregularities.
I believe the label is simply a generic importer's one.

However, I have seen Ronneby PWs in a very similar shape - a bit taller and with coloured insides, and looking a bit less like a bit of c*ap.

Can anybody throw some light on this now?

Can't help you with the maker of this piece, although if FM did make it, it would counterbalance all the sweet little birds they've produced. You're right about the label.

I had to comment on the evocative labels you have for your file names. Dare I ask what is pictured in the files labeled turd1 and turd2?
