So I posted this for sale thinking I would eventually figure out the signature. I am having no luck. I know this is not a paperweight but often the folks making vases like this also made paperweights. Any thoughts are much apprecriated.

could it be rollin karg ?

Now don't do that to me ;) I have myself convinced it at least starts with an F. But like all the other ambiguous letters it could be a K. I had not given him any thought as I am fairly sure I do not see a g in the last name. I sure hope to nail this one, it is certainly an interesting piece.

Yes, it's by Rollin Karg. He has long used a rather sloppy and uninteresting scratch method at the base of his pieces to identify them. Why so sloppy? Who knows? He signs them KARG, and that's what this is. He still makes paperweights and vases and bowls and other items. He has a website, Rollinkarg.com.

Thanks. I do not think I would have ever guessed Karg.

Mildawg, could we (or you) add pics of your vase to the board for reference, as the sale ones on eBay will disappear in a wee while. I can rescue copies from your listing if that's easiest for you?

Anne, if you could just grab them off ebay that would be fantastic! Certainly the easist for me. Thanks

Thank you, I'll go do it now. :) Much appreciated.
