Title: Lampwork vase on twisted stem
Post by: adam20 on July 23, 2012, 05:58:07 PM
Bought in Glasgow and I was told this was Scottish - purple lampwork with delicate foot and bowl - sandy opal striations - reminiscant of work by T Young Bridge of Allan or maybe further up north if it is Scottish at all - lovely piece and an ID would be a bonus.

I thought of Iglehart, I have some of his mushrooms. I know he does fine lamp work. Not seen this on any sites though but open to any ideas.

I think this lovely thing is far more likely to be Lauscha, from Germany.
My brother brought me a couple of bits back from a holiday - and one has this twisty stem. Another was a candleholder on a long stem - with a beautiful sparkly "drip". Sadly, the cat smashed it.
