Title: Possible Sklo Union vase, Jurnikl lookalike

This vase looks very similar to Rudolf Jurnikl's 13142.
Difference is that there are not only indentations to the sides, but an identical convex pattern to front and back as well (and all of these elements are not round but slightly oval).

Height is appr. 20 cm, base is ground and looks like other Sklo Union pieces...

I have searched Jindrich's site, Marcus book and CD, but couldn't find it.
Any help very much appreciated as usual :)

Very interesting, Michael...

The base on your piece seems a wee bit different from the base on my 'normal' 13142.  The inner circular part on yours seems larger (my inner circle is just over 3,5cm wide).  Then again, I might just be seeing things. I've included a photo of  the base.

Emil also has a Jurnikl anomaly in his album -- a 13176 look-alike with square impressions rather than round.   See here (https://picasaweb.google.com/106370355733525107342/BohemiaGlas#5560691000118210242).

I'm very interested in seeing what others have to say.

I was puzzled too when I spotted the vase...

So do we think it is Czech after all? :usd:
The different base finish may occur with different moulds, I guess?

Oh dear...  I wasn't suggesting it wasn't Czech.  I'm inclined to say it is AND that it is a Jurnikl design. But I've got no proof.  As for the bases, I was just pointing out a visual difference, for no particular reason. (http://serve.mysmiley.net/rolleye/rolleye0009.gif) (http://www.mysmiley.net)
