Title: Strathearn Paperweight Canes
Post by: sageandsolitudeglass on January 29, 2011, 12:41:45 AM
Hello everyone,
Does anyone have or know where I can find some Strathearn canes?  What happened to all the canes when they ceased production of paperweights?   I do have some, but I would like to find some more.   You can reach me at travischaudoir At yahoo DOT com.  Thank you, Travis

Lots of them seem to have spread to various places - including many of the "unknown maker" weights and bottles as shown in Bob Hall's book "Scottish Paperweights".

KevH,
Thank you for the information, so I assume the canes ended up with some of the X workers.  It seems like there would be a good amount of cane somewhere, because Strathearn produced so much complex cane at the end of paperweight production.  Travis
