Title: ID Help - Perthshire?
Post by: tropdevin on June 14, 2012, 10:31:13 AM

Much about the paperweight shown below suggests Perthshire Paperweights to me - the canes, the ground, the base finish...but I cannot spot it in the Perthshire book.  It could be a late design, or an experimental piece, or I may have missed it!  Any thoughts welcome.

Diameter 2 5/8 inch / 69 mm; height 1 7/8 inch / 49 mm.

Definitely shaped like one and it has a very tidy setup like Perthshire. That sorta felt-like red ground looks like one too. The only other maker I have seen use that ground is McDougall which stands to reason as he was the gaffer at Perthshire.
