David - Your lamp. It is acid-badged ENGLISH / HARBRIDGE / CRYSTAL. It looks okay to me, but please always be wary of mix-and-match operations on these traditionally cut table lamps.
Harbridge Crystal, Platts Works, Stourbridge dates from 1928 to the fifties, when it was taken over by Webb & Corbett. They produced mainly traditional cut glass and blanks for other cutting workshops. Quality, both of the blank and cutting, is always excellent; at first sight I find it difficult sometimes to distinguish it from Walsh. In the late '30s they introduced several mildly contemporary patterns, loosely based on the new styles by such as Murray, Farquharson, and Kny. You will find one or two illustrated in each of Dodsworth, Benson, and Benson & Hayhurst. They seem to be fairly scarce as I have yet to find any examples of these myself.

Starting this as a new topic so as not to clutter up the earlier questions with other matters...
Can anyone tell me if Harbridge Crystal always marked their pieces please, or is it common to find unmarked pieces as well?
Does anyone know of a good source of patterns and items made by Harbridge that they can recommend to me for further reading, either books or online sources?

I have a pair of Harbridge crystal items - not sure what they are though..........maybe cigarette holder, or spill holders?

Also, I wondered why they put quotation marks around the "HARBRIDGE" ENGLAND - has yours got them too? Or maybe it was after they were taken over by Webb Corbett.
This seems to be the most common pattern - not that there are many pieces around. Maybe the bump will help!

Those are cigarette holders with built-in ashtrays.
You can either attach pictures, which will give a thumbnail, or you can used links, but preferably only to the Glass Gallery as you have done, but you can't use a thumbnail. The board system has been changed to discourage external picture hosting.

Hi Cat, thanks for adding your examples. I don't have any Harbridge Crystal myself, but was curious about them, in case they also make trinket sets. :)

I have a confiture. It was my Grandma's. ;D
It doesn't have quotes around the Harbridge.

I now have a "Harbridge" Crystal vase, found today in a charity shop. I think it's the same pattern as Cat's above. I'll get some pics done and add them here later. :)

I've just found this topic again and realised I didn't upload images of my "Harbridge" vase, so here they are. I've tried to capture the acid etched base stamp as well, it reads
"HARBRIDGE"
ENGLAND.
