Title: Italian tumblers, any ideas on maker?
Post by: Frank on July 22, 2011, 11:05:04 AM
Michael (Rocco) has seen these asymmetric tumblers with a matching decanter that bore a moulded Italy mark... any ideas on maker, designer? Probably machine made so maybe one of the big companies.

Frank, what I forgot to add is that beside the word Italy there was also a moulded mark on the base (some symbol or monogram, hard to see).

Vetreria Parmense, part of the Bormioli Rocco group, of Parma, Italy,  Frank.  I have the set with the jug to match which is marked with that odd mark - set here: http://yobunny.org.uk/gallery1/displayimage.php?pos=-194 (see Ivo's glass fact file for the mark itself - page 163.) Mine are also on the board somewhere. :)

Yup! Mine's very smudgy so not easy to get a pic of, but it's the same mark. See Reply #6 in the topic you linked to. :)
