Title: Percival & Vickers biscuit barrel & underplate
Post by: Anne E.B. on July 01, 2012, 05:39:18 PM
If I'm not mistaken, then the reg.lozenge shows that this registered on 26th April 1869 by Percival Vickers.  ??? My pic. isn't very clear but the lozenge reads clockwise from the top as follows:  26 / H / H / 5.

One appears in the online V.&.A. but an image is not included. However, a celery is shown with a matching diamond pattern, so presumably the biscuit barrel with its matching underplate would be from the same suite.

Its a lovely sparkly piece but quite heavy.

Many thanks for the confirmation.
Great website too and I see from that, that it is from their 'Colonial' set, patt.225673.
