I have two of these in different sizes, however both have alot of wear to the bases and so the monogram is very hard to read but they are both engraved
Orrefors then two squiggles then 3538/3.

Its a shame that both have some surface scratches, as they are lovely.
Anyone shed any light on who may have designed them?

Hi Martyn,
Many thanks, the sqiggle still looks nothing like an N or L unless I screw my eyes up and squint.......
Do you think the scratches could be polished out or should I just live with them?

It depends how deep they are and if you can live with them, in theory it's certainly possible....
They are sometimes called Duskware or Dusk vases (I stand to be corrected with thier proper name if they have one) from the mid 50s and the letters should be 'NU' I think.

Nu is totally correct. (Nu=Nils Landberg)
