Title: Val Saint-Lambert in trouble
Post by: Ivo on October 01, 2008, 08:32:43 AM
Similar thing in Belgium: the board of directors of Val Saint-Lambert are trying to defer closure but it looks as if it will be curtains this time. VSL have been in a bad state for 30 years, closing down bit by bit - and have not been releasing any innovative designs for 15 years either. A new owner would have to invest heavily in modernisation - and it is unlikely anyone can get a penny out of a Belgian bank at the moment.

Sad news. How many more, I wonder, especially with the spiralling cost of fuel now?

Very sad news indeed. I'd thought Val St Lambert closed some time ago?

VSL has been the Wallonian headache file for years; it was sold to a Brussels lawyer for the sum of 1 Euro some time ago - but apparently it did not close.
