Could you do a photograph of the whole of the paperweight as it is difficult to see quite what it is from the one you posted.

Hi guest,

The weight is most likely a "Bohemian" or German item from the late 19th or early 20th century. The style of coloured bits in two layers with air-bubble "legs" (known in more modern work as a "Harlequin" design) was widely used in the Bohemian weights. The profile of the weight is also very suggestive of European work from those days.

I have not seen one before with a flower floating above the other layers but an awful lot of weights were made in that period and the books only show a small selection of them.
