Hi all.....and Want to wish everyone a belated HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
Small black bowl (or maybe called amethyst instead of black). Both Silver and Gold flakes. The Silver Flakes look purple through the glass. It swirls around the bowl. The base HAS extreme wear on it. Not sure if it means it is really, really old, or just used/moved around lots for being loved. Yes, I am thinking AVEM but unsure. Opinions welcome. It is as follows:
~ Size is: 5 inches x 4.75 inches x 2.25 inches high at tallest point
~ Weight is: About only a half a pound
~ Flakes of silver and gold in swirls pattern
~ Has 3 folds (or maybe cig rests fold)
~ Super Wear on base
~ (either) an bowl or an ashtray ??
Pretty sure Murano.....but who for sure, or the year made I do not know. It is a pretty little thing!!
Thanks in advance.

It may be....
I did hold this small bowl up to the light -- but did not get the same affect as I did with this bowl of mine HERE (http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,18048.0.html) No daylight shone through. So yes, it may be a very deep plum color but holding it to Bright daylight I got no answer. But on the top (over the flakes) it does look plum or " (or maybe called amethyst instead of black)." as posted (?)
Either a very dark plum, or amethyst....I guess....that looks very black. :-\

The colour is very similar to some SVdA pieces I own, which I refer to as deep plum as it looks almost black. Also, the deep plum coloured pieces usually have gold or silver foil.
Not sure about your bowl though antiquerose...but it is definitely quality and would love a piece like that.

Thank you all :ghug:
I will keep my eye out for any other SVdA pieces that *may* look like this. It is small, but nice! First piece I saw (bought) at the Antique/collectible show on here.
Must have had a 'good eye' after my Morning coffee....then saw this item :smg:
