Title: Help please!!!
Post by: daffodilsoldier on October 30, 2012, 11:47:51 AM
I run a house clearance company and recently found a glass vase which I'm not familiar with. You have to accuse me for being such a layman but I'm just going to describe the vase as I see it and hope someone here can help me identify it.

The vase is Bohemian in style (I think), opaque and looks to have two layers of glass. It is dark purple in colour with a gold pattern stretching from the base. The vase also has a signature which is situated on its side but its extremely difficult to make out. I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to decipher it to no avail but I believe it something like Yocheul. The first letter of the signature almost looks like a 4 though, so it could also be an  A and the H could also be a K so you can see the difficulties I'm having here.

The only other thing I have to go on is that the owner of the house was Swiss and also visited Japan regularly so I'm guessing it could be from one of those two places.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

If people think it will help I can upload a picture.

Welcome to the board. We always need in-focus pictures taken in good light and dimensions to help. We would like a side shot, a base shot, a top shot and a close-up of the signature as a minimum. You can attach four pictures at a time and reply to yourself if you need more.

This is also something to remember
