Hi
Can anyone tell me anything about this vase, it is 7" tall in an amber colour with a forest scene, deers and the sun and moon carved deeply into the glass, the raised parts are etched, how old is it and does it have a title, it is marked on the base Moser and MM and what looks like a 4I
Thanks in advance for any info you can give.

MM or WW? and which one of the signatures - needle engraved, acid stamped, cameo?
-
Hi,
The vase itself is a very deep, approx 3mm, cameo style cutting but the hollowed areas are frosted as if they have been etched?
The signiture on the base is an oval cartouche, on the horizontal, with Moser at the top and M M under it. Inbetween the 2 Ms is a picture of a glass. Directly above the cartouche is 4I on the vertical, see the picture at the web site below.
I hope this helps.

Mark is for Heinrich August Hußmann. German. He trained as a glasspainter in 1915-19.
He worked as a freelance designer for Moser 1928-31
In 1997 was based in Köln (Cologne) as a painter and graphic designer.
Might still be alive, in which case he might be able to tell you more.
