Title: Is this Archimede or just another stab in the dark?
Post by: ardy on October 24, 2011, 06:57:34 AM
Hi all

Just lashed out $65 on this item hoping it is Archimede Seguso. Could be SvdA but really who knows?

Maybe  one of you? :wsh:

22cm high, 22cm wide and weighs 2.25kgs.

regards

Could end up showing myself up here if this does turn out to be Murano, but those bright colours remind me of some Japanese glass that's been surfacing lately, with a Czech/Chribska style.

Nothing like your vase I know, but here's an example of brightly coloured Czech style Japanese glass:

Thanks Wayne and the colour was one of the big things I had questions about in this vase. That and never having seen anything like it in A.S.
I have seen several of the ones you linked to but I convinced myself that this one is a better example. You may prove to be right in the end but having just spent 30 mins looking up Chribska and Japanese murano style glass, nothing is set in concrete.

I do suspect you have called the sub contractors and given them my address  :bsh:

Having had a good look around I suspect that you are right Wayne and this is Hineri. Nothing set in concrete but it looks the most likely

Mod's - I think this can be moved.

Attached better photo for id and to test my new soft box tent. BTW we love this vase and Alison has one (similar to the untouchable AS vases) to stick flowers in.
