They aren't uncommon, I've seen a few around since I picked mine up.  I still don't know who made them for IDRIS - IDRIS were the maker of the liquid contents not the container. :) The design on mine (  Rd. No. 767033 ) was registered by IDRIS & Co., on 21 August 1931.

I've just found the same jug here: http://www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de/archiv/musterbuch-de.htm (http://www.pressglas-korrespondenz.de/archiv/musterbuch-de.htm) in the file  pk-2004-1w-03-mb-rindskopf-1936.pdf which seems to indicate the maker as having been Rindskopf.  Ref: MB Rindskopf 1934, Tafel 135, Krüge

They could easily have been made by more than one maker at any time and across a period of time as well as across borders.

True, Frank, but at least we know one of those makers, which is more than we did before. :)
