Title: Carnival Imperial Pansy ???
Post by: chuggy on August 27, 2006, 09:51:08 AM
Nice little creamer bought for £1 this morning, am I right that it's Imperial Pansy? My first thought was it looked European, but then I've been looking it up and think I'm got it right.

Yes, it is Pansy. Might even be amber rather than marigold, but I can't be sure from the photo.

Oooh I'm getting better at this. I would say the colour is certainly more amber than the other marigold bits I've got. Thanks Glen.

Hold the jug up to the light, Paul. Try to find part of the item where there is no iridescence (the bottom of the creamer is a likely place). Amber has a brown colour in the actual base glass itself.

If the base glass is clear - then the creamer is marigold.

A definite brown colour Glen. It's got a lovely texture and I like the bark textured handle.
