Daveee — any chance of a picture of the vase, please?   Also locations would help, either or both of where you are and where was it bought.   You could consider adding this information to your profile.

Bernard, Thank you for your reply. I live in cumbria and it may have been bought locally sometime around 1985.

its by Patrick McMahon , he's master crystal engraver started in ireland and ended up in grange over sands

well i don't think it's worth great deal, because it one of his lower market pieces, here's a link to his great work of art

he might get the blanks from cumbria crystal, thats just up the road

Thank you for the information. I have just come accross another item we have had for years which is a decanter with the same signature. However on this item there is a sticker which says ARCCRYSTAL engaved in Cumbria. So French made?

Could it be Artcrystal instead? This is the name that Patrick McMahon trades under. :)

His website states: "Come along and see our lovely new range of crystal from around the world, Waterford, Galway Irish,Dartington, Caithness, One World Collection, Atlantis, Cumbria Crystal plus Patrick's fantastic Engraving Collection."
