Title: Any specialists on Strömbergshyttan ?
Post by: Mikael on May 01, 2011, 09:16:50 PM
Has anyone got a catalogue from Strömbergshyttan and can you please help me with identifying this piece ?

Designer and year ???

6,5 inches tall and with a white centre with bubbles...signed Strömbergshyttan 1105

Also, has anyone got information on the big crystal bowl in the middle of the second picture ???? (not a good picture, just took one while I was dusting some of my Stromberg pieces...)
Only signed Strömbergshyttan..... engraved with a nice pattern on the outside....
Measures 7 inches high and 10,5 inches wide.

Thank you !

numbers are preceded by a letter: B for vase,  C for bonbon, E for decanter etc. The model numbering starts in the thirties and goes on until the late sixties. There is an approximation possible - but need to know the exact production number. "1105" is not a valid number.

I just checked, ofcourse, the correct signature is B 1105

I am on the lookout for some shelves or a cabinet of some sort that will fit all the pieces but maybe i will have to give up that thought. The total weight will be considerable for each shelf so maybe I have to start swapping and display some items at a time.

B 1105 is late sixties.

Thank you... I should try and get an old catalogue or something so I can look up the numbers. Someone talked about what they referred to as the Glass Bible... with all models and signatures from numerous manufacturers. Need to investigate what that is.

Mikael you seem to have lots of Stromberg.  I have this vase that is so badly worn on the base I can't hope to find a signature.  It looks for all the world like one of thos Gunnar Nyren Sharktooth vases.  The colour is about right, the outer glass is a lovely Stromberg blue - but I can't seem to find one on the net to match.  Have you seen a matching Stromberg vase - the colour does not need to be the same?
