If so, would you be willing to share? I'm interested in learning more about Jordan's Importing Company and the glass they imported and/or designed. Right now I'm in the process of collecting as many images as I can find. Eventually, these will be posted to a public site (maybe here) for those interested to peruse. There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding this label in particular, so it peaks my interest. Do any of you have images to contribute? I'll start off with some of my own (please excuse my poor photography!):

Sorry, that should be *piques* my interest, not peaks. ::) It's time for this newbie to go to bed.

Hi Shannon, I've created you a public album on GlassGallery for folks to add images into. http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/thumbnails.php?album=532 - anyone can upload images into this album - you don't have to be registered on GlassGallery to do so.
-
i added a few images to the new gallery.
have a fabulous day!

Wow, thanks Anne, and thank you too bidda! Off to view the pics...
Shannon
-
Bidda, that is really nice! Please don't tell me that's the one you sold for $15?!
-
alas, Shannon, 'tis...'tis
but such is the way it can go... oddly, i've had more luck on ebay with vintage Viking pieces than Murano (i sold a Thistle Orb ashtray for over $100 a few months ago). so, overall, it works out. :)

Ebay is a mysterious place for sellers! I've lived that frustration (and elation) before too.
So, I've added a bunch of images to the J.I. Co gallery. Some are really nice, some not so nice. I have a bunch more, but I'm still waiting on the ok to use them. In reading copyright law, I do believe this would fall under "fair use" guidelines, but I don't want to commit a breach of netiquette or anything, so I'm asking everyone for permission.

This archive topic on Copyright may help too, but obtaining written permission is sensible and protects you, the board and the gallery. 8) http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,795.0.html

Hi bidda, your link is a dynamic one and will change depending on the view settings of the person looking at GlassGallery.
To link to a particular picture look below the image in the bit that says File Information, and down to where it says URL and you'll see a link which ends with a - followed by a number. That's the absolute link to the image and won't change with view modes, or even if the pic is moved between albums.
So that's the one you need to post into your message like this: http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-8671
Hope this helps. :)

thanks Anne :) that helps a lot. so, the proper link would be http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-8696 (http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-8696)
merry weekend, all :)

Bidda, that's great! It's always nice to know where something comes from.
Marcus, thanks for the suggestion! I bought one of those earlier this week (looks like the seller has a few), and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival. I wish I could find more things like this.
Thanks again,
Shannon

Can someone post a close-up of the label? Looks like a gondola to me, and I remember posting a 'Murano' label with a gondola some time ago - OK, I know it's a very ubiquitous object in Venice! Almost certainly in the 101 Label gallery, but I'll have to hunt through it.
In fact, there's much of this style of glass that gets universally called Murano - the black dish with murrines, in particular - so is this the main source of Jordan's import?

Here's a close-up of one:

Hi,
Sorry I didnt email you earlier, but yes, you can use my Dog piece for the catalogue of images.

By the way, great Zebra!
havent seen 1 like that before.
-
Thank you Javier! Your photos are very nice. I noticed a bowl with the J.I. Co label as well. Do you mind if I load that one too?
I like the zebra too. Unfortunately, the bottom of it has issues. It looks like someone reground it or something, because the bottom is unpolished. I guess I'll have to keep it, darn! ;) You can't tell in the photo, but there is a tail on the other side.
Thanks again,
Shannon
-
Hi Shannon! What sort of value would you put on your zebra? Have you sold it?
-
Shannon, the second image in your list looks a little like Andy's vase here: http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,29032.0.html
Do you think his might be from the JI manufacturer?
