Title: Pukeberg 'Bark' Vase...
Post by: Pinkspoons on July 17, 2007, 02:46:44 PM
Any clues as to the designer/period? The only name that springs to mind with Pukeberg is Uno Westerberg - but then it's not really my field.

Also thought it might be a useful post because of all the unattributed bark-ish vases pottering about - may help put a factory name to a few vases out there.

Surfacing briefly to put Nic out of his misery!

This shows a partial label that probably dates before 1963. The reason for this is because I posted a promotional photo of Pukeberg here:

As my vase features an earlier label (one assumes), is it reasonable that these bark vases are much earlier than the period when Uno Westerberg designed for Pukeberg?
