Does anyone know which Czech company used a gold paper label on glassware with TRADE MARK CORONET on it? I know it's Czech as the vase it is on has Czechoslovakia etched on it

In UK c1950 the word Coronet belonged to potters Parrott & Co so the US impoter seems most probable but what date period are you looking at?

The item the sticker is on is a blow moulded deco style vase. I would guess late 1920s - 1930s era. It is similar to several other Carnival vases. We don't know who made them - the only facts I have are the acid stamp on the base (Czech) and this Coronet label.

Looks like Della is on the right trail. We bought the vase some years ago from a US auctioneer who was based in New York State.

Hi Glen,
George Borgfeldt & Co were a registered business in 1930. They started before this date, but I can only find this one link, so far.
They were China, Glass and Earthenware, Importers and Wholesale dealers;

So, that would fit in with the dates that you suspect.
I can't find out the names of any companies that they imported from.

Glen, truly amazing. I was getting ready to post this vase for your help when you brought up the subject. This one also has the coronet lable, although now faded to silver and very hard to read. There is no mark on the bottom. Mold blown, with the rim nicely ground and polished. It was very hard to photograph, the irrid. is what I would call a watery marigold and very relfective. Terry

What an amazing coincidence, Terry. I don't immediately recognise your vase but I will see what I can find out.

For Marcus and anyone who would like to see the Giant Lily vase that I have been referring to in this thread, here is a webpage that shows the vase.
