Title: Murano Paperweight
Post by: adam20 on May 06, 2011, 06:55:19 AM
Some 3" diam and 1.75" high this has a complex cane formation with small rose motiffs - aventurine base which I suppose isn't that unusual but may help to ID date it.

Any idea of date or maker - I am pretty sure it's Murano anyhow

See pics

Thanks Adam

I have such flower canes in complex canes of a 3 Fiori (http://www.pwts.co.uk/pages/Murano%203Fiori.htm) weight. This does not necessarily mean that 3 Fiori made that cane themselves, or only 3 Fiori used it. Also keep in mind that several 3 Fiori makers used to work for ALT and later founded the Millefiorifactory, both candidates for your weight as well.

Thanks Wuff I have a similar pwt I have posted previously(see photos) but those factory names did not come out at the time.  Maybe I will get closer to an attribution.
