Once more I found another art peice. Photo attached. Inscribed at base Boda-afors B.Vallien Unik F.M , then Initials. In centre of base what looks like a cartoon figure. I will send a photo of base with my next post.
-
Here is that photo of the base with sig, can anyone ID and date please
-
You have all the information, you don't need our help!
A design by Bertil Vallien for Boda Afors probably mid 1970s.

At first glance I would say that this signature is made post production by a amateur.
Attached how it normally looks like. A later piece though.

TO DANIEL S,
THANKS FOR YOUR PHOTO,IT IS SO CLEAR. I HAD TO PUT SOME POWDER ON THE SIGNATURE TO BRING IT OUT TO PHOTO, DO YOU REALY THINK THIS IS POST. EVEN THAT I HAVE SEEN OTHER VASES IDENTICAL TO THIS ONE. WHAT DATE WOULD YOU PUT IT AT???

this kind of vases started to appear around 1965.
As late as this year you could by a similar vase at Kosta Boda(Incl Ã…fors).
-
While not knowing anything about the attribution, the writing looks a-a-awfully familiar, and I'd attribute it to a certain well-known/notorious chrism - who has been known to go under various other pseudonoms, both as signatory (including Micheal Harris - which he can't spell) on glass and as ebay seller....
-
John James where did you get this piece?
-
To DanielS
I purchesed it at a fair in GlASGOW.
-
Hi Daniel S,
Sorry to be a pain, but why do you want to know where purchased, as previous thread I stated Glasgow?
-
I was curious too.
What you have there appears to be a standard production bottle produced for many years with a signature on it which belongs on a an item made in limited numbers. Apart from not belonging it's a poor attempt at a signature. Nice enough bottle but not special.
