This is one of Queen's day finds.

I'm sure it is not the 100,000 $$ item - but at least I have high hopes of having it identified.

It's a Leerdam item, Ivo.

Shown as No. 1323 (Leerdam catalogue), we illustrated it in "A Century of Carnival Glass" page 80, in the chapter on Leerdam (naming it "Dutch Star").

Sorry it's not a $100,000 piece - but it is an exquisite little Dutch treasure

Hi Ivo,

Whilst looking at your gorgeous creamer, I saw that you have two unidentified elephants.
If I am not mistaken, these will have a flat back?
I saw one last week for sale with a "Joska" label still attached.  :)

Thank you - It is not always easy with a company like Leerdam who denies ever having made Carnival glass.

and nice to haver the elephants ID'd, I had no idea that Joska did casting!

Maybe they would find it easier to accept if they knew about the $100,000 vase

I have looked on their site and I can't find evidence of it either.
Is it really worth attaching a sticker of theirs to a piece?

I have to be honest, I had never heard of them until I picked up the elephant last week. I homed in on it because I thought it was Scandinavian. I didn't buy it because of the ridiculous price attatched and the fact that I am not very good at negotiating a price

I wish I had taken my son with me now.  (He is brilliant at getting prices down)
