A plea to all my GMB colleagues.....the unthinkable has happened....I have broken the wing on my precious Shirley Elford Angel......I am beside myself with grief.....it was my most precious glass Angel and I must have another one.
If any of you have one for sale, or see one that is for sale, PLEASE tell me.....those of you who know me well will know how precious this Angel is to me............PLEASE HELP.

Edited to add: Perhaps you can take your angel to a glass doctor? I'm sure there is someone who has the skill to make your angel whole again.

If it's a clean break you can get glue that 'goes off' in sunlight without any visible 'gluey' marks usually from big DIY stores,I've some blue tack somewhere :srn: :wsh:

Not sure IF they have any pieces there or not ???? but they do mention her Glass. You could contact them and see IF they do, or IF they know of where some might be.

I think I might have located one.
The Picture is not good (so I am not sure) but I just emailed the person to ask for some more pics.....it kinda looks like it might be, but I will wait to see if they send some more pics. So finger crossed.
Did you got yours fixed by now (and not interested anymore)?? If so, then I may buy it for myself.....but will wait to see if they send me some more pics and hear from you first. Have to find out IF it is - or not

Hello Rose......I have literally just got home from the Cambridge Glass Fair, and yours is the first message for me!
My poor Angel still has a broken wing :cry: and I have spoken to Adam who has said he will look at it to see if it can be repaired, but if it is a Shirley Elford Angel that you have seen and you could bear to let me buy it, then I would be so grateful to you.
However I will completely understand if you want to have it....may I let you decide when you have more information? I know if you do decide to keep her, she will be in a loving home and I also know you would keep a lookout for another one. :kissy:

No Rosie - I found it and it is for you first and foremost....
ONLY if you got yours fixed, or did not want another -- would I then buy it. So no, you have the first chance at it as it is your S.O.S here. It was not advertised at all. I "only" spotted in some pics of their glass there. It was tucked away at the very back of one photo, and then in a different photo it was in the middle of the shelf. I am believing it is the correct Angel. I say that with about 92 % confidence right now. Bit of a different color than yours, but pretty sure it is correct. :X:
I have contacted them and waiting for a reply. I just asked about the Glass angel (not IF signed yet). I asked for more photos of it. I am hoping when they reply (and send photos ) that mostly THEN they will *mention* if it is signed, or IF they know the maker of it.
So just waiting for a reply from them -- but this IS your S.O.S post here -- so you deserve it first and foremost!! It needs to be with its Glass friend there, plus with another angel made by Shirley
When you posted this SOS - I think you felt your Wing was broken - over your glass Angel
Sometimes *ALL* of us are Glass Angels and have Broken wings :ghug:
I made the pledge (to myself) I would find you one....as A Canadian, and *In Memory* of Shirley Elford for what she stood for as a Glass Artist, and struggled with Ovarian Cancer !!! I was going to find you one. Lets hope the pics are not old pics and the Angel has been sold. I will shoot them another Email tonight again, about it...okay

I will send to you the link to see the pics of it on the shelf of other glass. Again, IMHO I believe I am 98 % correct it is. You can look at the pics and see what you think too. Not sure if those are old photos, or IF they still have her....but I am trying to find out at this end.
Oh, yeah.......when I zoomed into those pics.........It looks like (IMHO) the price says $ 8.00. I do not think it is $80....so IF I can get a-hold of the guy for you (found pics under a different link that what I am sending you)..... :X: it is at a Super Price!!
